This is the same photo I posted some time back, but this time with effects added using Snapseed for iPad.
Post-processing definitely adds a little drama to this photograph, but I’m still on the fence on the whole “Instagram-effect” on photography. I don’t think shifting creativity from the “shooting” stage to the post-processing stage is a good thing for the art. It is easy to overdo it (think about badly done HDRs) and it makes us (amateur photographers) lazy when it comes to developing the “eye” which makes photographs special.
Nevertheless, I’m open to both schools of thought and will experiment some more to form a stronger opinion.
