During their headlining Coachella set two weeks ago, the Black Keys were joined by pal John Fogerty in paying tribute to the late Levon Helm of The Band.
Jay-Z - Dirt off your Shoulder (ft. The Verve) (by Faber1ee)
An awesome remix, IMO.
Yes, that is Freddie Mercury riding Darth Vader. And yes, that is the epitome of pop culture perfection.

I’m going to be 100% honest with you.
I’m 13. I have a little band. We are so much better than you. Honestly. You are the worst band I have ever seen in your entire life. You are worse than Rebecca Black. The bass player just hacks the bass and plays one chord. The guitar players are playing out of tune guitars and… well not even playing actually chords. I couldn’t sound worse if I tried. It actually sounds like a joke to me. The drummer is okay. But honestly the vocalist is completely out of tune. Oh and The Black keys have two people and are better than you.
From: Me, and pretty much everyone else who has accidentally stumbled upon your terrible music.
Introducing Grooooovy

Because done is better than perfect.
A few days (weeks?) ago I did a little session on rapid prototyping for the resident startups at T-Labs. The goal was a very simple mashup of Last.fm and Youtube using web2py, a swiss-army-knife equivalent of web frameworks specially suited to rapidly rolling out proof-of-concept apps. The result is Grooooovy (with five Os), with the awesome psychedelic design contributed by Nav.
What are you waiting for? Start groooooving!
P.S. For developers (and wannabes) the code is at github if you want to mess around.
Drums. Delhi. Beat that!
Know that feeling when you follow a faint sound for a while, only to discover an epic jam session? No? I thought so. Last week at Deer Park (Hauz Khas Village) a friend was giving me a psyche-analysis when we heard that faint sound, and followed it to discover this:
The sound isn’t too bad, even though it was recorded on a mobile. We were told it was the fortnightly meetup of a group of percussionists who go by Delhi Drum Circles. The idea is that anyone can get their own instrument(s), and simply join in. Those without instruments took to swinging, foot tapping and clapping to the beats. Photographs by yours truly.
Check out the Delhi Drum Circles and join them on their next session. You won’t be disappointed.
A rare cover of Simon and Garfunkel’s Mrs. Robinson by Kurt Cobain, to mark his birthday.
His famous last(ish) words in his suicide note:
I’m too much of an erratic, moody baby! I don’t have the passion anymore, and so remember, it’s better to burn out than to fade away.
Daaaang, that’s talent!
